FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Quality, storage, delivery, payment: everything you ask us most often.

What makes Oliviera olive oil “extra virgin”?

Our extra virgin olive oil is obtained exclusively by first cold pressing (below 27 °C), without any chemical treatment, in line with the extra virgin standard (acidity ≤ 0.8 %). Every batch is checked and tasted before shipping, with a pleasant taste guaranteed.

Where do your olives come from?

All our olives come from our family farm in the Chaouïa, near the village of El Gara, 50 km from Casablanca. We handle every step, from the tree to the bidon, which guarantees full traceability.

How does delivery work?

In Casablanca, delivery costs 50 MAD, from our distribution point in Maârif (223 Bd Brahim Roudani). Outside Casablanca, contact us after your order and we will arrange transport with you.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Payment is made online by bank card when you order, on the secure page of our payment provider Zazu (3-D Secure). Your card details never pass through our website.

How should I store my olive oil?

Keep your bidon closed, away from light and heat, between 14 and 20 °C. For daily use, pour some into a small dark glass bottle. Stored well, an extra virgin olive oil keeps its qualities for 18 months.

Why does your extra virgin olive oil tickle the throat slightly?

This slight peppery kick, called pungency, is the signature of polyphenols, the natural antioxidants of freshly pressed olives. It is a sign of freshness and quality, not a defect. Our oil still stays smooth and pleasant on the palate.

What are your prices?

We sell straight from the farm, in 5-litre bidons, minimum 4 bidons (20 L). The price per litre goes down with the number of bidons: 75 to 65 MAD per litre for our extra virgin olive oil, 45 to 35 MAD per litre for our second press oil. Above 20 bidons per oil, ask us for a quote.

What is the difference between your extra virgin and your second press oil?

The olives are the same, hand-picked on our farm in El Gara. Extra virgin oil comes from the first cold pressing, within six hours of picking: it is the fruitiest. Second press oil comes from a second pressing, in March 2026, of olives from the 2025-2026 harvest: less aromatic and cheaper, it is meant for everyday cooking in large quantities. Its laboratory analysis is in progress and we do not sell it as extra virgin.
